As a young girl, Shelby struggled with weight gain & self confidence. Her parents enrolled her in an after school fitness program, and it was there that Shelby discovered her passion for fitness. As she began to exercise & condition her body, she was fascinated by the art of fitness & nutrition. Exercising & cooking healthy meals became a passion of hers as she started to see the results of her efforts in the gym. Shelby knew then that she wanted her life's purpose to be centered around health, fitness and nutrition. She envisioned herself helping young girls who faced the same struggles as she did, as well as anyone who has ever desired to change their lifestyle to be healthy & strong!
Shelby received her Colorado Esthetician License from the Aveda Institute of Denver in 2008, & worked as a makeup artist throughout college. She attended Azusa Pacific University & graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Interpersonal & Organizational Communication Studies in 2013. She then went on to study fitness & became a Certified Professional Fitness Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2015. Most recently, Shelby obtained her Holistic Nutrition & Wellness Practitioner degree with an emphasis as a Fitness Nutrition Educator in 2017 from the South West Institute of Healing Arts. In December 2017, Shelby became Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition ® (Candidate) through the Holistic Nutrition Counseling Board (HNCB).
Shelby has worked diligently to combine her studies to make her dream come true, to create a fitness & nutrition program for women, specifically young women. Shelby offers beauty, fitness, health and nutrition coaching to young women, giving them a solid foundation to learn how to take care of themselves while simultaneously focusing on self-love. Although her primary focus is a program geared towards young women, Shelby offers fitness & nutrition coaching to anyone who is interested in making a change in their life!
In her free time Shelby loves to spend time with her dog, hang out with friends & family, cook, travel, play music, go to concerts, read and explore the great outdoors! She enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, paddle boarding, strength training and taking her dog to the park.
